emptyparticles_mixdown.mp3

This is my version of an Indie song. It is fourth fret capo and very soft for a spider web voice to sing on it, or BadmanJ can rap it up if he feels up to it. It is undecided as of writing this now.

TheTrip_mixdown.mp3

I wrote this for a friend that is out of the country right now. I wanted a topic and I thought this would be fun!

I also went for a long run today. Irrelevant.

Enjoy!

Oh I am singing on this one. It was sort of a freestyle with the words written down and sung through once, so I am misguided on what notes should sound like. But I am ok with how the first take sounded.

afterwood drum test.mp3

BadmanJ held me up tonight as I just have to work out some serious things musically. I was a bit out of the flow but Badman brought it. This is AfterWood with a drum beat. It sounds great.

grapes_mixdown.mp3

Here is a song in the vein of the other fruit song. They make me think of people and the fruit name is to mask who they are. This is just a snippet of music. But I thought it was fun. I used no metronome in it and you can tell if you listen. Plus I have NO idea what the BPM is. I will be working that out because I like this song.

This is a lot of finger picking done in a very difficult way for me to fingerpick. It was tons of fun to write.

This has distortion and an epic feel (see: Prog Rockish). I wanted the Badman to freestyle over this, but he opted out. Instead he wrote a story, which is cool, but left me to free style over it. So I tried, and forgot to actually do it. So here it is naked like a newborn. I like it.

Riff works, delay, reverb loop. Enjoy!

nightofgain_mixdown2.mp3

I quickly wrote this up with a fragment of a song I played with tonight while practicing different things on the guitar. I enjoyed making it a lot. It has a bilevel effect package on it. With a pleaza amp and delay of 800ms and a reverb. Enjoy!

I think there is a glitch in it but I was unaware while I was working the music. So if there is I apologize, but it has gotten quite late to correct it. I think it still sounds fun!

This was done in Riffworks, but I loved the music so I wanted to share it.

NewAgeGuitar

Here is a bit of a song I was really getting into. It is very ethereal. I can hear a lot over it, but I am not sure what the words are.

What, or how to say anything with nothing.

In my dreams I am a lot more pleasant,
I can see for a million lifetimes and grow endlessly
With you I stare blankly and withdrawl
This mirror showing me my face seems so unfamiliar
but this moment is far from unusual

The ground sweeps and sways and I lay motionless
begging God to move me in any direction as long as I am moved.
In this second I fall asleep, drifting back into my dreams
Where I fly inches above the ground, and collect soda bottles filled with memories.

Back in my pharmacy I am looking for love in a bottle.
Which one of these will turn me on to stable
In every cyclinder do I get closer to you,
or am I letting go; drifting away into my chemical sea.

The New Player and a New Song: The Wall!

Hey guys! Take a look at the new player. It is on the homepage right under the banner. It took some serious time to find one that would work. The Bigcontact one sucked and would not work no matter how I tried to fix it, and ask for assistance. But this new one, offered just the player and the rest was pretty much up to me. So I had to figure out XML and figure out where to put everything and to get things read for it to function. So it was quite an ordeal, so I deserve my own hand patting my back I feel.

Tonight for music. I have written and sung a song. I only did one take of everything and I was not feeling the greatest with my singing, but I feel it is only fair if I put it up here as BadmanJ allows me to put his voice up here. I like the song a lot, I just wish I had been able to do more than one take. Enjoy! This was done in RiffWorks, and is a little choppy due to that. I had a lot of fun doing it.

I cannot remember much about this song. The piano is cool in it. Badman made the beat and piano. I filled in the rest.

results2x_mixdown.mp3

This song has lyrics that go along with it. I attempted to record them 24 times with varying success. So I did not post them with the song. Instead I just give you the music part. It has heavy reverb, finger picking that begins at 2:18, and three layers. One lead guitar, one rhythm guitar and one acoustic guitar. Please enjoy it. Seriously. It is about 65 or 130 bpm.

Ghosts_mixdown.mp3

I'll tell you what this song makes me think of tomorrow after you have all had a chance to listen to it so that I may not influence you to think of something. But it made me excited. It was odd but nice and relaxing the imagery I saw. This was another remix of beats 14, 11, 10, 21. This one has a significant delay effect on it at about 529mhz. There was no amp used but there was a noise gate and compressor(like normal) and cavernous reverb nearly maxed out. I wanted a nice almost violin hum along with the guitar.

guitar test_mixdown (2).mp3

This was another song done for you. It is a prog rock song. I think it is great right up until I start banging on the strings at the end. I have listened to this one a million times since I wrote it. I hope you enjoy it.

pajamaForestthemesong_mixdown (2).mp3

I was writing a theme song for the comic Pajama Forest, I have lyrics for it, I will put them on there in time when I have more of it. Maybe tomorrow. Probably tomorrow.
This is very bassy. I am not sure how that happened, but there you have it. Enjoy!

New Lyrics of an old song

BadmanJ just cleaned up and started to work some more of the lyrics. I spend nearly no time tonight on music due to other responsibilities, but I did make something, that is the next post.

This is the rock guitar 5 song with the lyrics cleaned.

An update to Rock Guitar

I really like this one updated. I would be glad to know what you think of it. All the same info applies to this one as the last one. This time we have a beat on there, and I replayed the entire song, to fix up some errors in patterning and to add a bit more life into the arpeggio parts. In the process I ripped open my lip and I am bleeding down my face. It is unpleasant and I wish it had not happened. What can you do!? Enjoy, please.

rock guitar5_mixdown.mp3

The beat is being made as I post this for the song. I will have to rerecord it once I get the drum track. But this has looping on it for one track and a simple soft rhythmic tone to it. I really like the way it came out. Again I will have to rerecord it, but I think I can improve upon it once it is ready. It is very short because I liked how it was growing but I wanted to capture the essence of the song before it got away. So now that I have it I will recreate it with a more full length. Well as a catch all, every song we have posted here has been just sketches and song ideas, of which we are picking the best and creating something wonderful with it.
