This starts out quiet, but don't raise the volumes as it gets metal. This is a work in progress, as they almost all are, but this is one of those we will be bringing back up to code in a few weeks. I like the break beat of the guitar in this song.

Anything
Just a quick take of something I thought up. The lead solo part took far too long to do. Just a little delay and reverb and spinal puppet. Have fun!.

MachineLive2x_mixdown.mp3 (WIP)
This is a serious work in progress. I dislike a lot of what is in this version, but I like the ending which is why it is still being posted. The next one will be MachineLive3x, which I do not like the ending but I like the beginning. So I am posting both!
We performed this live the other night and it came out like machinelive1x, these are builds off that live take.

Here is a bit of a song I was really getting into. It is very ethereal. I can hear a lot over it, but I am not sure what the words are.
What, or how to say anything with nothing.
In my dreams I am a lot more pleasant,
I can see for a million lifetimes and grow endlessly
With you I stare blankly and withdrawl
This mirror showing me my face seems so unfamiliar
but this moment is far from unusual
The ground sweeps and sways and I lay motionless
begging God to move me in any direction as long as I am moved.
In this second I fall asleep, drifting back into my dreams
Where I fly inches above the ground, and collect soda bottles filled with memories.
Back in my pharmacy I am looking for love in a bottle.
Which one of these will turn me on to stable
In every cyclinder do I get closer to you,
or am I letting go; drifting away into my chemical sea.
I can see for a million lifetimes and grow endlessly
With you I stare blankly and withdrawl
This mirror showing me my face seems so unfamiliar
but this moment is far from unusual

Finally Ghost! Done.
Here we have the results of a lot of work, much to my roommate's despisement. Tonight I was tormented enough to do the vocals for it.
We very much hope to hear back from you what you think.
Here it is the song Ghost Final tracked version.

WHOOOOOSH!
Gosh it has been some time. We have worked on a bunch of little parts of songs, well mostly I have been making tiny snippets of songs and collecting them, so expect a deluge. The Badmanj has been working on lyrics for Machine, and polishing them up. I have worked on machine a lot too, and I have hurt my thumb due to that, but getting hurt while playing music!? That is bad ass!
I have been practicing my fingering a lot and I think I am getting faster and I know how and where to place my fingers quicker. I pretty much know a lot of the scales now, and I think I can link them together faster. I thought of a couple of new chords. I say new because they are new to me, and I just found them while trying to get a sound I wanted, and I also tossed in a little frequency math to find out where the sounds would not be harsh. I put a few of the chords into one song, but I am not sure if they are in a song that I want to keep as something. Plus I deconstructed a few chords to get their principal pieces and I think all in all they are pretty neat. Look forward to tonight the group of songs we have been working with following this post.
This was all just a heads up, but here is a little fan fare for the publication.

machine3x_mixdown (2).mp3
Here is a diddy that we started working on yesterday after the visit from the black muse. It is called Machine and the lyrics are being worked on now. The music is a bit of melodic synth sounding guitar and a machine beat. I just played this and seriously have not listened to it yet. So I am aware that it might clip at points, but overall I think when I was playing it the scratch pad of work sounds pretty dark and full. The effects are a cavernous reverb at full 100% and a spinal puppet amp. The delay is an 800 ms. Oh the lyrics are not on here, yet, but soon they will be, once they are cleaned up and sorted and refined and all that jazz that I do not do on the guitar before I post it. There is not a lot of layering in the beginning but the end distortion I have three guitar tracks that mesh together.

Ghosts Tracked FinalNoVocals_mixdown.mp3
And here it is. The near finished song Ghosts. We still need to add in my singing parts, but until we do that (I need to find a good place for the mic and have the skill to do it) This is the finished product. We hope you like it, and would love feedback on the song.

This is a 'to be polished' song. Enjoy it's current stage. You have heard the beat before.

Music tonight! Tons of it. Well not tons, but a good deal. Heck these are a great deal at $Free$ a song, I think you cannot beat that!
This song is a little bit rough around the edges. And I mean that in the ways of it clipping a whole bunch and sounding generally like I played it in an electrical storm. And who knows... Maybe I did.

The New Player and a New Song: The Wall!
Hey guys! Take a look at the new player. It is on the homepage right under the banner. It took some serious time to find one that would work. The Bigcontact one sucked and would not work no matter how I tried to fix it, and ask for assistance. But this new one, offered just the player and the rest was pretty much up to me. So I had to figure out XML and figure out where to put everything and to get things read for it to function. So it was quite an ordeal, so I deserve my own hand patting my back I feel.
Tonight for music. I have written and sung a song. I only did one take of everything and I was not feeling the greatest with my singing, but I feel it is only fair if I put it up here as BadmanJ allows me to put his voice up here. I like the song a lot, I just wish I had been able to do more than one take. Enjoy! This was done in RiffWorks, and is a little choppy due to that. I had a lot of fun doing it.

More Music! This is just a loop guitar I made. You can listen to the full 4 minutes of it, but it sort of (from last listening of pieces) seems to be the same things over and over. Leaving room for vocals and a beat later so we can tighten it up.
metalguitar2x_mixdown.mp3
Music, comin' your way. This is a metal piece. It is just an idea right now, but I have the drum script from the Badman tonight, so I will work on it again tomorrow.

StartWithACynic_mixdown.mp3
This one has a phaser too, at about 1.75 hz. A delay of about 320 and a beat of 110 I think. I changed the tuning of the guitar to a half step down or something. I just sort of tuned it to whatever the first fret was per string. So if you put a capo on the first fret and tune to standard tuning you come up with this sound. I hope you like it because I think it is a great new direction. I am going to keep it in this tuning for a bit to test out some of its limitations and some of the new doors it opens. Plus it sounds so crunchy and nice with the spinal distortion.
Posturing_mixdown.mp3
This song has a phaser on it at some hz I have forgotten and I did not save it, so I will have to play around with it again to figure it out. With reverb and a 300 something ms delay. haha Man, this is being vague at its best! I think it is a new way of visiting old chords.
Harbringer_mixdown.mp3
It has been a few days of straight up work, to a point where I could not even understand the song Ghosts anymore other than patterns with my hands. So I took a break tonight and wrote a few little pieces I hope to flesh out. This one started with a beat from the BadmanJ himself! The beat is really the crux of this song. I think it is awesome. I put a little bit of guitar at the beginning of it, but let the rest of the beat go so I could work on it later and do it justice. The guitar has a huge reverb and that is pretty much it.

The play continues
So I am trying to get a player to work so we can just stream all the songs in one place, but I am having difficulties. The guys at Big Contact are assisting me, and hopefully we will have this corrected tomorrow.
The Song Ghosts is nearly complete as well. The final stages of mixing are in order, but we are going to wait until this weekend to finalize it. So either we will mix it up or scrap it and start again with new vocal placement and new guitar. Same basic design, just different placement of the music.
I am still working on Pineapple in my free time between work and working on Ghosts. But for the rest of the week, I am letting go of Ghosts so I can play some more songs, and work harder on the ones I am leaning towards polishing up.
Tonight I will leave you with a pretty crazy version of the final song. It is mixed to death with super effects and oddities I could find in our program. Enjoy!
Mind you, this one is called MixDeath. As in the death of mixing. LIsten with head phones or good speakers to be thoroughly disappointed! Hahahahaha!!!
Don't worry this weekend we will have the nearly complete one posted for you.

We have been busy at work polishing up the one song Ghost. We are not done it just yet, but I will post here a bit of what it sounds like now. And by a bit I will place most of the song... ie. all of it. We are coming close to finishing it. The mastering and the completion will occur this weekend. Enjoy this one, we currently do!
