pour1xfinaltest_mixdown.mp3

Here is a clip of music that we put together tonight. We decided on not posting the whole thing as it was really not up to standards we have grown to want to have since starting this.

New player=new hurdles

There is a new player above. I cannot seem to get it to work out yet, but for now it will sit until I can figure it out this weekend. I am currently recording Pour with BadmanJ tonight. Should have something posted tonight, or tomorrow.

Ghosts Test_mixdown.mp3

Bang up job. I am very pleased with the way this came out. The BadmanJ pulled together the lyrics and I think your souls will be pleasantly soothed and melted... nicely melted. Into a puddle.

pineapple_mixdown.mp3

This song is such a wonderful song in my head. I need to get it just right but for tonight I have only a snippet as the majority of tonight's music was replays and parts of songs and nothing really 'finished' well as finished as they usually get on this site. But recently, and by that I mean tonight, BadmanJ and I have started to bring out the polish and shine on the songs we have already recorded and posted here. To name a few of the ones we are doing: Pour, Gravity, Pineapple, Incredulous, Ghosts, Ribbons. So new music will be mostly little snippets like tonight. The main work will be on cleaning up and refining the stuff we are most excited about. Plus there are a lot of chords, strumming patterns and lyrics to suss out and get ready for presentation. Some of the songs will be changing slightly but the cores will be there. Mostly the things changing are the little strum hiccups I make and some of the 'lead' guitar parts will change to adapt for a longer version of a song. We got the new speakers tonight so we are ready to mix professionally now with a very neutral sound stage.

But about this song Pineappple: It has a 500ms delay on it with a slight cavernous reverb. It is mostly action style playing with no hand resting from sliding up and down the strings. You can kind of pick that up from the delay string slide sounds. The rhythm guitar is three different chords with varying strum patterns. No amp, though I tried the plezio but I did not like the texture of the sound that came out. The open guitar worked a lot better for my ears. Enjoy, this is very short. is a 5 second delay before the music kicks in when you hit the play button.

PureRockSong1x_mixdown.mp3

Since my drummer and all around Badman is out of commission for the weekend, I had to make my own drums for this song, so I made a rock song. It is pretty exactly rock music. Like straight up. Distortion is found here, and cymbals and break beats. No vocals though. No reverb, no delay, just straight guitar and an amp with low drive distortion. Enjoy!

By the way everyone, I love doing this. Thanks for listening. I have been getting some nice feedback and it has charged me even more. Thanks again!

The Ledge_mixdown.mp3

The Creme' de la Creme of the night was this song. It was an experiment and it came out very nicely I think. The beat was put on afterwards by the Badman.

HomeIsHere_mixdown.mp3

I was sort of playing around on this one. I tried out a bunch of the techniques I have been using for the past few months and tried to get them all into one song. I am unsure if it is far too busy, but overall it was a fun test. I am posting it to see how you feel about it. Plus not everything has to be perfect, just exciting and this piece was exciting to play. No idea how I made it. It was a long time ago today. Haha.

JamesAdamBeat45TakeTwo_mixdown.mp3

I liked trying to play this one. It is heavy distortion and vamping. There is a mild reverb on it and a delay of about 222 ms on the lead. The beat came first and I played over that so the length of the beat explains why the song just sort of stops. If it is a hit then we will extend it a bit more. I like it though.

results2x_mixdown.mp3

This song has lyrics that go along with it. I attempted to record them 24 times with varying success. So I did not post them with the song. Instead I just give you the music part. It has heavy reverb, finger picking that begins at 2:18, and three layers. One lead guitar, one rhythm guitar and one acoustic guitar. Please enjoy it. Seriously. It is about 65 or 130 bpm.

jamesadambeat44_mixdown.mp3

This song was the last of the night. I think the ending is where this one really tops the awesome. This was a 95bpm beat BadmanJ sent over at the end of the night and I quickly shot this together. It has distortion and reverb and three guitar parts. But really they can be combined into two guitar parts. One rhythm and one lead.

Ghosts_mixdown.mp3

I'll tell you what this song makes me think of tomorrow after you have all had a chance to listen to it so that I may not influence you to think of something. But it made me excited. It was odd but nice and relaxing the imagery I saw. This was another remix of beats 14, 11, 10, 21. This one has a significant delay effect on it at about 529mhz. There was no amp used but there was a noise gate and compressor(like normal) and cavernous reverb nearly maxed out. I wanted a nice almost violin hum along with the guitar.

Escape1x_mixdown.mp3

This was a few beats mixed together. Beat 21, 23, 17 all mixed up in a remix version with new guitar over top. BadmanJ was busy tonight and I had creativity surging so I wanted to get something out. This one is full of distortion and has an undertone of delay, a very small delay, with an acoustic finish. The acoustic stuff sounds sort of like it is coming out on top of the music. Like it is lighter and the distortion is a sea of some sort. The beat is about 80bpm.

Rock Guitar5xlyrics_mixdown.mp3

Ironically this song which is Rock Guitar 5x is not Rock guitar 5. But both have lyrics. The BadmanJ just put this together tonight for us. Enjoy!

Now this one... This is such a different style than I am used to playing and it is SOOO dark. Dont listen to this one after you listened to another song or it might sound a bit flat, but on its own it is greatly odd. I think it is cute. One sour note, but not bad for one play through. YEAH!

JamesAdamBeat42600mhzdelay_mixdown.mp3

This song is has a 600 mhz delay in it and distortion. The BadmanJ says it sounds nice and thick. There are two layers and a drum beat.

Rock Guitar 5x_mixdown drums.mp3 But not the old one

Here is a song I built today and I thought it was a bit much but then BadmanJ put the beat in and it really opened it up. The song is 100bpm and done with a little reverb for the underlying part. I was using the acoustic amp for it. It is a brighter sound than usual. Very colorful.

fingerpicking 1.mp3

This is a revisit of last night's song. with beats! Have fun!

fingerpickingRockSong1x_mixdown.mp3

This song is 140bpm, and is a song I quite enjoyed making because it was a new twist on something I like to do. It is two layers, and I used a very light distortion for the second guitar part. I used the Line 6 Spinal amp with a very low drive and a light reverb. I recorded lyrics but I forgot the tune my vocal chords before I used them so they are just a half step detuned on every note. I decided to extract them from the music for now. No beat for this now, but I hope to get one soon.

Incredulous

We missed a day yesterday but that is alright, we made some music. It was just a busy night. We come back today with a real zinger! This was a 150 bpm song with no looping. I used two extra layers to spice the end up a lot. This has a defined verse, chorus, verse, bridge to end. I think this is the best song I have done. I love the way it sounds. Definitely listen to this one all the way thru, even when it sounds like it is over for the first time. There is a bit of an end beat. But you will be able to see where it is in the song by the meter so I am not worried.

ProgRock1x_mixdown (2).mp3

I liked this song a lot. I worked on it for a little bit. The song has a few sour notes, but they do not ruin the song for you, they are like little moles, or cute specks in the iris of a person. Actually they are very noticeable, but I loved the song regardless! I think you will too. This is a bit darker, and has a lot of reverb to flesh out the background. It is a few layers, and a fade in.

Love the prog rock!

brightGuitar1x_mixdown.mp3

This was a song I worked on second, I like the energy of the strumming. I need to redo it to clean it up a bit, but I wanted to post it because I was excited about it. It is a brighter than usual song. It has a lot of potential. OH YEAH! I forgot to tune the guitar before I played this so it is crazy out of tune, but I still jammed right along with it all night! The next version will be correctly tuned.

rock guitar 1x_mixdownWithvocals.mp3

Here is the song that was posted before but with some vocals I did. They lyrics are just random, and not the ones for the song, but I thought it would be fun to put a little bit of singing up here. Good night. Tomorrow I will replay this one with the beat the BadmanJ just sent to me. Mind the first few seconds of silence. I forgot to clip the beginning 8 beats off.

rock guitar 1x_mixdown.mp3

Tonight I had a rough night, I nearly broke my hand while trying to finish a song I really wanted to play. But I did this one earlier. It has some glitches in it I will try to clean up tomorrow but for now, here you go!

ErrieGuitar1_mixdown.mp3

This next song is very creepy, I love it creepy! It is dark and wispy. Take a listen!

james Adam Beat 38_mixdown.mp3

Tonight I worked on two songs. With this new found Flash technology I am excited that you guys will not have to head over to Pluto Eclipse to listen to the music, you will just need to click the play button here from now on.

This first song was made to a beat I got a few days ago but never did anything with because I forgot I had it. I think it came out pretty nicely. It is semidark, but overall a nice tune.

Gravity Test_mixdown.mp3

This was a song we guitar recorded a few days back and got some beats on it, tightened it up. Then BadmanJ sat down and got some lyrics done and we fresh recorded them tonight. Here is a rough draft of what the song sounds like. I like it a lot!

I made this with RiffWorks. I have the cheapo free version T4. But its drum function is pretty interesting. You should check it out. It is a free program, so go do it.

guitar test_mixdown (2).mp3

This was another song done for you. It is a prog rock song. I think it is great right up until I start banging on the strings at the end. I have listened to this one a million times since I wrote it. I hope you enjoy it.

One of the songs for you. Yes, you....

This song is very meaningful to me, but I was freaking out because I could not get it right tonight. I will try again in the tomorrow to see if I can get a good version, but I wanted to get this out because I never want you to feel alone, in case you were.

technical guitar 1 take two_mixdown.mp3

This was a very hard song to play. I played the technical part of it for 1:50 and I thought I had been playing it for 5 minutes. Oh well. I thought this song was fun to play regardless.

james adam beat 36_mixdown.mp3

After a few days off from any type of music working due to the computer being shifted around, we have something pretty nice. I tried a few different techniques tonight to get something a little more open sounding. There is a space in the middle and it comes back strong with another piece to it. Like a bridge almost.
